A recurring favourite read, both spring and autumn is ‘Lökar och Knölar’ written by Marie & Björn Hansson and also ‘Stora Tulpanboken’ by Susanne Rosén. I highly recommend these two books for anyone who has an interest in learning about bulbs and tubers. Both books contain a general section and a glossary or reference section. The photos are beautiful and the books have a nice layout and are easy to read.
Every year I refresh my memory by reading about the bulbs I am about to plant or am curious about getting.
There is always something new that I retain in my memory bank and it makes it easier to keep the knowledge alive. I have a bad memory when it comes to names and keep trying to find methods to improve it. One way I have found is to delve into these books every spring and autumn.
